Group classes are the most fun way to learn to dance. They promote socializing, are economical, work on the social aspect of dance and help with development, as it is important to be able to dance with everyone. Students start at level zero and increase the level, in due time, depending on their development.

Salsa

Salsa is a musical and dance style which had its origins in Cuba, with the Son Montuno, and in New York, with The Mambo, in the 40s. In the 60s, both in Cuba and New York, this rhythm merged with Cuban Son, Cuban Rumba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Merengue, Mambo, among others, was already listened and danced in the artistic community. But only in the 70s, the “Salsa” nomenclature was born. “Salsa” means fusion / spicy in Castellan and appeared to designate this strong, energetic and rich beat. Salsa is a latin rhythm danced in pairs or individually where one can improvise the steps. There are several Salsa styles like Cuban Salsa, Salsa on 1, Salsa on 2, Casino Rueda, among others.

Bachata

Bachata is a musical and dance style born in the 60s in the Dominican Republic rural areas and it’s considered Cultural Heritage. “Bachata” is a colloquial word for “village festivals” due to its joyful rhythm. It is a romantic rhythm with several influences like Bolero, Cuban Son, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, among others. Dominican Bachata dance movement is focused on the lower body, specifically the feet and hips. Since 2000, new bachata dance styles were born, like Sensual and Modern Bachata.

Kizomba

Kizomba is a musical and dance style born in Angola in the 80s. It is a slow and sensual rhythm born from Semba and Zouk. “Kizomba” is a word from the Kimbundo african dialect and it means “party”. This designation came to surface when the african slavery survivors got together to mingle and celebrate their freedom and dance was a frequent way to express themselves. Kizomba is a sensual couple dance where their connection, the hips sensual movement and the feeling are the main characteristics.
